Dear Colleagues,

 

Like all groomers, I also have that one, favorite pair of grooming scissors:  the pair that makes every grooming easier and more pleasant. My quest for that perfect pair lasted throughout my professional career and over time I have tested countless brands.  I was desperate for a pair to make my grooming not just easier and pleasant, but also less exhausting; I knew they would allow me to excel quickly, maintain the premium quality of my grooming work and keep my clients satisfied.

 

The quest ended in 2008 when I bought my first pair of custom made scissors, specially molded after my hand in Japan. They were exactly what I needed to unleash my talent and show my skills.

 

I learned quickly that ergonomically shaped scissors are not just about making my every day’s work easier; they also helped preserve my health and allowed me to enjoy my work longer. I wanted to share this newfound pleasure with my all of my colleagues and that is how the serial production of custom made scissors became the next step in my professional career.

 

Today, eight years later, I am proud and excited to present my own Masterpiece Collection – Sasha Riess Signature Line, a unique collection of professional grooming scissors, custom made to fit your hand.

Why is it important to have custom made grooming scissors?

 

In the long-term, standing next to an inadequately fitted grooming table or bathtub, as well as the use of generic scissors, can have a negative effect on your general abilities to work as a successful groomer.

 

Very few of us actually realize that the grooming of just one dog, for example, a poodle, which on average last about 2 hours, requires around 10,800 thumb and palm moves.

 

As professionals you are well aware of how your palm quickly becomes tired when you use generic scissors. As a consequence, you slow down and grooming takes longer.
